	In July, Sharon's niece Summer came to visit, and we traveled to Utah with Sharon's brother's family to celebrate her grandfather's 80th birthday. Most of the family was there, and Sharon enjoyed spending time with her grandparents and family.

Speaking of family, Brian’s mother still lives in Florida, just a few miles away from Bill and his family. The Florida climate really agrees with her, and she’s doing well and enjoying good health. Brian’s other brother Bruce still lives in Costa Rica.

We did manage to squeeze in a couple of camping trips this summer, although our first attempt was rained out. You really can't trust the weather forecasts in this area sometimes! However, in August, we spent a great weekend in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest with Mike, Karin, Sean, Thor, Kay, Thom, and Dimitri. We harvested lots of huckleberries and are still enjoying them in our pancakes!
